Lived Experience Story Masterclass
2 x 2 hour online workshops
Service Description
This interactive online workshop explores how to develop your personal story so it can be used to positively influence and motivate change in lived experience advocacy or representation roles. We explore the naked truth versus storytelling and how to bring lived experience to life through storytelling. You will learn how you can use your lived experience stories to enter the hearts and minds of those you need to influence. The first session will provide you with the tools to develop your story for advocacy. You will then have the opportunity to put this in writing and receive feedback from the facilitators prior to the second session when you can share your story and learning with peers. Facilitated by: De Backman Hoyle & Heather Nowak Local workshop times (in daylight savings times) are: 2.00pm - 4.00pm VIC, NSW, ACT, TAS, QLD 1.30pm - 3.30pm SA, NT 12.00pm - 2.00pm WA

Lived Experience Australia acknowledges the Traditional Owners of all the lands on which we undertake our advocacy.
We pay our respects to their Elders past, present and emerging.
We also recognise all those with lived experience of mental ill-health. We acknowledge that we can only provide leadership in systemic advocacy through valuing, respecting, and drawing upon their lived experience expertise and knowledge.
We acknowledge their enormous contribution to our work.
