Looking back to look forwards

Any time you are advocating for better, challenges come your way. We have experienced this recently through the referendum to recognise and enshrine a First Nations Voice to parliament. Although many see it as a set back, we know also that many things have changed, not least a greater show of collective support for the recognition of our First Nations people. It won't stop here.

Our annual reports provide an opportunity to take a moment to look back on our previous 12 months of activities. In the process of compiling these we often find that we are surprised at the volume of work our small but dedicated team have managed to undertake.

We are also reminded of the impacts that have been shared with us, the moments where people have shared their stories, and described to us the difference that we have made.

It also helps us see that there is still a long way to go, but that doesn't daunt us.

It's valuable to look back and see how far we've come. It's important to continue to aspire to do better. We are inspired by what we have achieved, and will use this to inspire our ongoing work. While you are reading our report for the 2022-2023 financial year, we are well and truly working on what comes next.

We can't wait to share more impacts and exciting developments with you next year.

In the meantime, we'd love you to have a read of our Annual Report. We'd love you to share with us what you enjoy about it, and what you'd like to see more of. If you're short on time (part of the TLDR crowd) feel free to view our Annual Report Highlights infographic, but know that this lacks the stories and personal impacts that our comprehensive report is full of.
